St. John's Wort is a shrubby perennial plant with bright yellow flowers. It is native to Europe, but now grows in many parts of the world.

St. John's Wort got its name from St. John the Baptist. Its flowers are typically in bloom on St. Johns Day (June 24th), the reported day of St. John's beheading.
